The Utility CEO Forums are closed door boardroom meetings, by invitation only and facilitated under Chatham House Rules. The interactive and collaborative platforms foster dialogue through confidentiality and trust, allowing utility CEOs an opportunity to tackle the most pressing topics and challenges they are facing. The Utility CEO Forums pave the way for transformation by discussing issues of strategic planning, financing models and regional centres of excellence throughout Africa.

Utility CEO Forum: Africa in Cape Town, South Africa (co-located with African Utility Week 14 – 16 May 2019) is the largest of the five forums. The forum provides a dynamic and unique platform to discuss and compare utilities challenges all over the continent. Peers and facilitators debate issues such as financial viability, challenge new ideas and advise towards common strategic goals.

The regional Utility CEO Forum: East Africa in Nairobi, Kenya (co-located with Future Energy East Africa, 12 – 13 September 2018) as well as stand alone Utility CEO Forum: West Africa in Dakar, Senegal (4 – 5 December 2018) and Utility CEO Forum: Central Africa in Douala, Cameroon (3 – 4 July 2019) will focus on similar challenges and best practices, to continue the debate at a regional level, including crossborder cooperation.

Utility CEO Forum: Nigeria in Lagos, Nigeria (co-located with Future Energy Nigeria, 13 – 14 November 2018) will enable all Nigerian utilities (including Discos and Gencos) to focus on in-country challenges.
